Loom AI - Quick Reference
Open Loom Designer and use the left sidebar’s AI Tools section.

| AI Generate | Creates a pattern from a text prompt. |
| AI Extract from Image | Uses AI to isolate and interpret a subject in an uploaded image. |

Import Image

Quick workflow: choose an image → set the grid → simplify colors → adjust brightness/contrast → Apply Pattern → refine manually.
AI Generate

Prompt formula:
[subject] + [colors] + [placement] + [style or background]
Example:

The modal includes quick examples, an optional style, Generate Pattern, Regenerate, and Apply Pattern.
AI Extract from Image
- Upload an image.
- Answer What do you want to extract? with a focused instruction.
- Optionally choose a style.
- Set rows and columns from 5–100.
- Choose the model; the current token cost is shown beside it.
- Select Generate Pattern with AI, review, then Apply Pattern.
Try: “extract the central bird and remove the background.”
Fast fixes
| Problem | Try this |
|---|---|
| Image is too dark | Increase brightness. |
| Image is muddy | Increase contrast and reduce colors. |
| Too many tiny details | Use a smaller palette or simpler source image. |
| AI result is too busy | Ask for one centered subject and a plain background. |
| Colors are hard to reproduce | Turn on Use Bead Color Palette when importing. |
| Pattern needs cleanup | Use Paint, Eraser, Fill, Stamp, Replace Color, or Clear All. |
Before you save
- Check the pattern in both the 2D grid and 3D preview.
- Set bead shape, size, material, finish, and scene lighting in Design Settings.
- Save the design to make it available from My Studio.
- Use the local draft recovery if you return after an interrupted session.
