How do I create my first bracelet?

Log in to your BeadMod account
Click "New Design" from your dashboard
Select beads from the library on the left
Customize each bead using the properties panel
Save your design with a name

Is BeadMod free to use?

Yes! BeadMod offers a free tier that includes:

Unlimited bracelet designs
Access to all bead types
Basic screenshot exports
Save up to 10 designs

Premium tiers offer additional features like video exports, studio environments, and unlimited saved designs.

Do I need design experience?

Not at all! BeadMod is designed for everyone, regardless of experience level. The interface is intuitive, and you can see your changes in real-time.

Design Questions

How many beads can I add to a bracelet?

You can add up to 50 beads per bracelet design. Most realistic bracelets use 15-25 beads.

Can I save multiple designs?

Free users: Up to 10 saved designs
Pro users: Up to 50 saved designs
Premium users: Unlimited saved designs

Can I copy an existing design?

Yes! Click the "Duplicate" button on any design card in your dashboard to create a copy that you can modify.

How do I delete a bead?

Click on the bead in your bracelet to select it, then click the delete/trash icon or press the Delete key on your keyboard.

Can I undo changes?

Yes! Use Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Cmd+Z (Mac) to undo changes. You can undo up to 20 steps.

Customization

What materials are available?

BeadMod offers six material types:

Metal (silver, gold, bronze finishes)
Plastic (widest color range)
Translucent (light-passing effects)
Glass (crystal clear or colored)
Wood (natural, organic textures)
Ceramic (matte or glazed finishes)

Can I use custom colors?

Absolutely! Use the color picker to choose any RGB color you want. You can also enter hex color codes directly.

What's the difference between roughness and metalness?

Roughness: Controls how shiny (smooth) or matte (rough) the surface is
Metalness: Controls how metallic the material appears and how it reflects light

Can I add text to beads?

Yes! Use Letter Beads to spell out names, words, or messages on your bracelet. Select letter beads from the bead library.

How do I save a screenshot?

Click the camera icon in the top-right corner of the canvas. You can:

Download directly to your device
Save to your BeadMod gallery
Choose resolution (up to 4K for premium users)

What formats can I export?

Screenshots: PNG format (transparent or solid background)
Videos: MP4 format (Premium feature)

Yes! After capturing a screenshot, you can download it and share it anywhere. Premium users can also generate rotating video clips perfect for Instagram and TikTok!

Are my designs private?

Yes, all your designs are private by default. Only you can see them. We're working on an optional public gallery feature for users who want to share!

Studio Environment

What is the Studio Environment?

The Studio Environment is a professional photography setup for your bracelets, featuring:

HDRI lighting environments
Adjustable lighting intensity and rotation
Turntable video recording
Perfect for product photos and presentations

HDRI (High Dynamic Range Imaging) uses 360-degree photographs of real lighting to create realistic reflections and shadows on your beads. It makes your bracelet look like it's photographed in a professional studio!

How do I record a turntable video?

Set up your design and lighting in the editor
Click the video camera icon in the toolbar
Your bracelet will automatically rotate 360°
Wait for processing (10-20 seconds)
Download or save to gallery

Videos are perfect for social media and presentations!

Can I adjust the lighting?

Yes! In the Environment tab:

Intensity slider: Controls brightness (0 to 2.0)
Rotation slider: Changes light direction (0° to 360°)
Adjust both to find the perfect look for your design

Performance & Optimization

What are performance presets?

Performance presets automatically configure rendering settings:

Ultra: Best quality, high-end devices
High: Balanced quality and performance
Medium: Good performance, most devices (recommended)
Low: Maximum performance, complex designs

What do the performance stats mean?

FPS: Frames per second - higher is smoother (target: 60)
Draw Calls: GPU operations - lower is better
Triangles: 3D complexity - managed by LOD system
Memory: Texture and geometry usage

Why is my performance slow?

Try these solutions:

Switch to Medium or Low preset
Disable Shadows (biggest performance impact)
Enable Instancing and LOD (usually already on)
Close other browser tabs
Reduce design complexity if possible

What is Instancing and LOD?

Instancing: Groups identical beads to reduce GPU workload (up to 95% fewer draw calls)
LOD (Level of Detail): Uses simpler models for distant beads (up to 90% fewer triangles)

Both work automatically in the background for better performance!

Should I enable shadows?

Enable shadows when:

Taking final screenshots
Recording videos
Presenting to clients
You have good performance (45+ FPS)

Disable shadows when:

Experiencing lag
Editing/designing
Working with many beads (50+)
Using older hardware

Technical Questions

What browsers are supported?

BeadMod works best on modern browsers:

Note: WebGL support is required for 3D rendering.

Does BeadMod work on mobile?

Yes! BeadMod is responsive and works on tablets and phones. However, for the best experience with complex designs, we recommend using a desktop or laptop.

Why is my 3D preview slow?

If performance is slow:

Close other browser tabs
Update your graphics drivers
Try reducing the number of beads
Use a device with better GPU support
Lower quality settings (coming soon)

Can I work offline?

Not currently. BeadMod requires an internet connection to:

Load 3D models and textures
Save designs to the cloud
Sync across devices

Account & Billing

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Click on your profile icon > "Upgrade to Premium" to see pricing and features for Pro and Premium tiers.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll retain premium features until the end of your billing period.

What happens to my designs if I downgrade?

Your designs are never deleted! If you have more than the free tier limit (10 designs), you'll still be able to view all designs, but you'll need to delete some before creating new ones.

Troubleshooting

My beads aren't loading

Try these steps:

Refresh the page
Clear your browser cache
Check your internet connection
Try a different browser

If problems persist, contact support!

My changes aren't saving

Ensure you:

Have an active internet connection
Click the "Save" button
Wait for the success message

Designs auto-save every 30 seconds while editing.

The colors look different than I expected

Color appearance can vary based on:

Your monitor's color calibration
Lighting in the 3D scene
Material properties (roughness, metalness)

Try adjusting the properties or changing the lighting!
